SUNDAY SCHOOL

No matter where you are in your life or spiritual journey, we have a Sunday morning class where you can connect with others and God.

Each Sunday morning at 9:45 am children, teens and adults gather in various classes to grow together in Christian faith and community. These classes are more than just your average Sunday School, they are brothers and sisters gathering to share life; loving, supporting, learning and serving together as well as to raise a younger generation in the foundation of the Christian faith.

The current classes for both kids, youth, and adults offers a unique style of study and growth ranging from women’s studies, men’s studies, and even a group that reaches into the far side of the demonization.

CHURCH NIGHT TOGETHER (CNT)

SFUMC Wednesday night Church Night Together actives seeks to provide a comprehensive menu of adult options, including Bible study and fellowship, as well as options for both children, Middle School student, and High School students. Willing volunteer leaders offer their gifts of time, abilities and expertise to provide a wonderful variety of meaningful, fun and challenging studies and experiences for youth and adult alike.

Each Wednesday the fellowship begins with a meal provided by the church and we break out into the different areas of learning and growth.

UNITED METHODIST MEN

The ministry of men in our church is defined as a core group of men, partnering with our pastor, to invite and initiate spiritual growth opportunities for all men of the church. Everyone has different gifts, graces and areas of interest. Therefore, opportunities for participation would include diverse ministries of the church, such as prayer groups, missions, Bible studies, retreats, workshops/seminars, small groups in the Wesleyan tradition, leading and participating on committees, teaching Sunday school classes, youth ministries, scouting, mentoring and assisting in leading worship service. The focus is not inward, concentrating only on those who attend a set meeting, but outward to all men, assisting them to engage the process of spiritual growth.

MISSIONS

The Missions Committee organizes, coordinates, and complete all mission activities and projects in which the congregation engages beyond our local community. As this committee offers mission activities, we also offer the opportunity to reach out to others who are less fortunate than we are and who may not know the love of God as we do.

The work of the committee is central to our success in our mission to make disciples for Jesus the Christ. Mission projects give the members of the congregation opportunities to use their gifts to help others – to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world. By being the hands and feet of Jesus, we allow others to see Jesus alive and engaged in their lives.

The mission activities of our congregation include the opportunity to go on an annual missions, participate in community clean-up workdays, participate in meal deliveries, opportunities provide for organizations in need; supporting a wheel chair ministry, and providing learning opportunities regarding the mission work of our church and our denomination.
